Cosmetology (1035 hours)

The Austin's School of Spa Technology (formerly, Austin Beauty School) has offered comprehensive training in the area of appearance enhancement for 75 years. The Austin program in Cosmetology focuses on the development of the knowledge bases and skills that students need not only to pass the NYS Appearance Enhancement Licensing Examination but also to become exemplary professionals in their chosen career paths. The Austin's School program in Esthetics focuses on the development of the knowledge bases and skills that students need not only to pass the NYS Estheticians Licensing Exam but also to become exemplary professionals in skin care. Nails are the accessory that everyone can wear and wear well. A student in the nail technology program will learn the three major applications of artificial nails: acrylic, wraps, and gels, as well as how to deliver an amazing manicure and pedicure that will keep even the most finicky clients coming back. The program also provides students with a solid foundation in safety, health, and sanitation to ensure the safety of our graduates and their clients, as well as advanced training in nail technology applications in the spa environment.
